-Franklin D. Roosevelt
Overview of the 30s
The 1930s were a time filled with fear and hardship. The country was in the midst of the Great Depression and was on the brink of World War 2 (1939-1945). Only the rich had money, and the unemployment rate neared 25% by the time Franklin Roosevelt was inaugurated as president. Money was on everyone’s mind during the Great Depression of the 30s.
